Hi Class,

There are a few copies of the final exam for anyone that is looking to complete the test before Monday at 6:30pm. The exams were made avaialble this morning in the math lab in the arts and sciences bldg. I will pick up the tests after the conclusion of the class session on Monday 5/10. Everyone must take the final between now and then or you will receive a zero grade.

I have just emailed around a word document review with a map and questions to assist you in studying for the exam. This is not an exhaustive review, meaning that it doesn't include all the exam topics just a few to assist in your studies. If you did not receive it, please email me.

There are 5 pts of extra credit for the final exam. Remember the assignment you did in week 2 about goal setting? If you revisit that assignment and assess how well you achieved your goal I will give you 5 pts. Assignments need to be at least 8 sentences.. due Monday 5/10.

Geo 101: Homework #1: 10 points

In class, we discussed many reasons why someone would want to study geography. We discussed that often people are drawn to geography for navigation, travel, and world events. I would like each of you to develope your own personal goal for the semester.

This goal should be obtainable in a 5 month semester, and follow the SMART criteria.

S = Specific
M = Measurable
A = Attainable
R = Realistic
T = Timely

If you need more information on goal setting, look here.

Your goal can be typed or hand-written and should be at least two paragraghs ( 6 sentences) in length.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
